Human's have looked up that the moon in wonder from the beginning of recorded history. What was once a mysterious orb in the sky is now a place where humans have actually walked.
Join the observatory staff at Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory on Thursday, February 20th, for a the 2nd of our 2025 Twilight Talk Lecture Series. This informative talk will explore the science behind the Earth's Moon, how our understanding and methods of understanding its formation, and influence in our planet.
The evening will begin at 4:00 p.m. with light appetizers and refreshments, providing a great opportunity to meet the presenters and ask any preliminary questions. The lecture will start at 4:30 p.m. in the Pozzi Education Building. The lectures will last approximately 45 minutes to an hour and will be followed by a Q&A session.
