Mad Science Family Program

Unleash you inner Mad Scientist while your family experiments with fun and messy chemistry. See if you can inflate balloons using chemical reactions, experience the chaos of making slime and lava lamps, break Newton’s laws of viscosity with Oobleck. This crazy chemistry is fun for all ages, but all groups require at least one participating adult.

Pre-registration is required, and capacity is limited. All our crazy chemistry will be done with items from around the home. Safety gloves and glasses will be provided, but please wear closed toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind possibly getting messy. This program will take place fully outdoors. This family program is for all ages, but all groups require at least one participating adult. 

Program registration includes daytime admission to the nature center.
