Join the observatory for the Annular Solar Eclipse of 2023. Also known as a "Ring of Fire" eclipse, this rare astronomical phenomena differs from its better known cousin, a total solar eclipse. Unlike a total solar eclipse, it is never safe to look at an annular eclipse without the proper eye protection. Each ticket holder will receive ISO certified Sun viewing glasses and all telescopes will be properly fitted with solar filters. Knowledgeable staff will be present to guide guest through the viewing as well as discuss solar events like sunspots, solar flares, CMEs, and prominences.
