Join professional biological illustrator Christine Elder for a 2 ½ hour workshop on drawing and painting realistic mushrooms.
Christine will demonstrate her techniques for capturing an accurate likeness of a mushroom then participants will complete their own artwork based on their choice of photos or real specimens from the FungiFest collections which may include Amanitas, Boletes, Chanterelles, Hedgehogs, Matsutake, Slippery Jacks, Lobsters, Chicken of the woods, etc. depending upon field conditions.
This workshop is geared toward adults and older youth who are keen to create realistic drawings with Christine’s expert guidance. Helpful handouts and professional-grade artist’s materials will be provided including an 8 x 10” mat to frame your beautiful creation.
Participants will also get free access to Christine’s online course; Foundational Drawing Skills (a $125 value) to support them in furthering their drawing journey.
